On a recent whirlwind trip to see my grandma in the part of Germany she now calls home, but that is very much off my usual path, I took a picture of this bench (amongst so many other shots). And now every time I look at this picture, I wish I could go back in time. Because, the one regret I have, is not actually have taken the time to sit down, if only for a minute or two, to really experience the moment. Surely, there is a myriad of reasons why I could not – including traveling with my ever antsy little one – who would have considered sitting down on a bench “LANGWEILIG” (boring), but next time I see a pretty bench, I will find at least one good reason to actually take a short break and sit down.
